2011

Now then, booking my 2011 stuff now. Not-wigan and renewal for me, even though they're both at the wrong end of the country. Not booking the thursday for the first one but will be doing for renewal.
What vet picks are people taking?

  2. Same for me I think, May and August plus the day-event whenever we do it.

    Oh yeah, fuck.

  3. Any ideas on vet picks. I'm thinking that the crafting thing just isn't going to work for me as i don't want to spend half my event sitting by a fire banging metal.

  4. I think I was going to take Ranger 1 so I join J on the foraging side of things. Not sure though. Mind you, not much else I can take really. Trying to work out if this is my 4th or 5th vet pick; must be 4th I think. Extra heavy, Shaman 1, Thrown and now Ranger 1. Doesn't seem like 4 years worth of character has been played though.

  5. That's cos we got a vet pick a char gen John, having lost our characters at a Renewal. It is 4th vet pick. For me: 1 = x hvy 2= corp 1 3 = thrown 4 = ranger 1

I have sent my booking for Easter & Renewal already. I took ranger 1 for foraging.

Drew, as you never used crafting I would be tempted to take back last years vet pick too (they will never ever check) and gice yourself 2 this time. thrown is a lot of fun (our ebay guy does the axes dirt cheap) and ranger 1 useful for the group.

I have not booked Thursday for either

  8. yeah, but already registered separately in the crafting book. And they're such a bunch of incestuous cunts that they might notice.

  9. Think I'll take Ranger 1 then, means Alan should get a reasonable number of herbs and the more of us foraging means the more chance for black-balled and having a scrap.

  10. No LRP for me for a while as waiting on a slipped disc(s) operation date. Day event but timing for that now depends on what surgeon says re. op and recovery period tbh.

Day event & Renewal for me.
This year will have to leave event early Monday morning but will book Thursday arrival to help with set up as won't be available to assist with the take down this time.

Vet pick tbc. Let you know.

  11. Hope the disc recovery goes well mate. I'm currently wincing from a damaged sciatic nerve and a bruised kidney.
Definitely sounds like ranger picks for the rest of us then and start getting some good fucking herbage

  12. Should all be fine from what been told so far, cheers. Looking forward to being fixed!
I just need to check character card for Ranger skills taken thus far. If not got Ranger 2 will take that I imagine.
I hear beer is good for bruised kidneys .... rest up then. I know sciatic nerve can be painful too. Maybe we both now showing our age Drew?!

  13. I'm more worried about showing your age than mine!

  16. On to ic stuff. I would like to see some movement on the al gaia treaty thing. I don’t mean necessarily solved in the way we initially thought, just some kind of progress. Even if this means we effectively OOC ditch it cos we cant be bothered and just come up with an IC fudge/flange as to why we can do that.
On that note, do K and Alan ever come on here? Their thoughts on this would be good (especially Alan as Renkin as he is the one going to be doing the play if go more wangling route). Anyway, discuss! Like I said I am happy to have a fudge/flange as yo why we dont need to bother with it if we want to ditch the idea IC, but would like to have that sorted in my head.

  17. Fuck i hate this thing! The firt part of my post was expressing sympathy for the old veterans and their injuries. It was a heroic piece of prose worthy of Homer himself - you get the idea (get well soon you mugs!)
