If I die in battle, my brothers who fight with me,
Go with my shield and weapons, tell my House how I died.
But I will be strong, I will fight for my blood and kin, who are my enemy will die by my hand!
Lots of this old stuff needs re-working I feel. It doesn't form part of a cohesive whole and is soemtimes at odds with itself, or with what has gone on in play, or just doesn't add up in a sensible sense. I think they are based used as base/starting point rather than taken as canon as is.
ReplyDeleteQuestion on the overall structure. Are we really saying that only Ashan is represented in the closed council? For a pretty religious race this seems a bit of a low representation. I would expect the high priest(esse)s of Grun, Arapey and Uludiael as well.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Luthiel (High Priestess of Ashan) is the only one with a seat at the council but she speaks for the others who may attend the wider meetings but otherwise do not have a role?
ReplyDeleteI think the closed council needs to remain pretty small. Remember also that you also have Grun aspected ascendant (Amerasu - Quick Priestess) and another Ashan rep (Avarrin - Miller's Daughter) on the council already. Too many god botherers and they will outnumber everyone else and nothing would ever get decided.
true, true, mind you, that is the elven way...
